Repairs & Adjustments
We can repair almost any problem with a bowed string instrument from making a bridge to complete restoration. Repairs are done onsite with turnaround times as short as the same day depending on the issue. Our repair services include, but are not limited to, replacement of bridges and strings, repair of open seams and broken necks as well as loose fingerboards, installation of friction pegs and perfection pegs.
Many adjustment issues are free. They are part of our set-up process for each instrument we send out, and most are routine. Adjustments requiring over an hour, or additional parts, are considered repairs.

String Repair Policy
All instruments leaving our shop will be adjusted to proper playing condition.
All requests for repair of instruments for display only will be refused unless they are set up completely.
Estimates will be given for instruments in the follow categories, excluding strings:
We generally estimate high and strive to do repairs economically, without sacrificing quality. In general we will inform the customer if new problems are discovered if the estimate needs to be raised. Bow rehairing and repair are similarly included.
Bows must have a complete undamaged tip plate. Broken tip plates must be replaced as part of the rehairing process. The slides in the frogs must also be intact and not glued in, Otherwise the slides must be replaced with an additional charge.
All instruments requiring neck or scroll repairs must be set up with a new set of strings, to ensure that the least possible tension is applied.
